Profile: Bob Chaworth-Musters

Bob Chaworth-Musters in 1997 founded the Angel Forum, which is now the oldest Angel organization in Canada and meets semi-annually in Vancouver. In one day, 30+ pre-screened companies seeking private equity financing of $100,000 to $1 million give "live" presentations and exhibit their products to 90+ pre-screened individual and corporate Angel investors.

Bob has been very active in educating entrepreneurs through co-founding in 1998, the Investor Ready boot camp seminar series (25+ seminars held) for entrepreneurs and now advanced workshops on Valuation and Terms Sheets for more experienced CEOs and CFOs. For Angel Investors, he has joined with the Bellingham Angels group to offer Angel Investing Overview workshops and Advanced workshops on Due Diligence and Term Sheets.

He has been since 2004, the Board Director and Founding Member with Canada’s National Angel Organization. Bob is a member of the BC Technologies Industries Association, the Vancouver Enterprise Forum and the Angel Capital Association of the US.

He was a Charter Student at Simon Fraser University, earning a B.A. in Economics and later a M.Sc. in Business Administration from Boston University. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

Outside of work, Bob has been an annual backpacker on week-long trips through BC’s coastal mountains and has now transitioned to week-long off-road bike trips through southern BC. In the winter he is a regular skier at Whistler Blackcomb and he is planning to retrace an ancestor’s 1860 exploration of Patagonia.
